NPC Aggregate tipper delivers to customer site.
Once sized and separated, our aggregates are usually delivered to our customers’ construction sites in our fleet of white and blue tipper trucks. Some output goes into value-added products such as ready-mix NPC Concrete, which is manufactured and supplied by our sister company NPC Concrete. Crusher by-products are used in our range of construction blends.
How an NPC Aggregate quarry operates
Mining at the quarry ‘face’
Excavator loading ADTs.
Aggregates are mined at the quarry ‘face’ and then loaded by excavator into transhipment vehicles such as articulated dump trucks (ADTs) for transfer to the crusher apparatus. As mining operations, each of our quarries is licensed with the Department of Minerals and Energy (DME). Our quarries comply with the range of health, safety and social responsibility requirements promulgated by the DME.

Our crushers play an important role by breaking aggregate material into specified sizes for various construction purposes. Because in construction sizing is critical, our crusher output is sized according to the South African Bureau of Standards. Click here to visit our Laboratory page.
